Players Must Bring:
– Face Mask
– Your Own Basketball (We have extras if you don’t)
– Basketball shoes with good grip
– Basketball Appropriate Clothing
– Water Bottle
COVID SAFETY MEASURES
- All players/spectators who enter gym must add name & number to Newburgh Armory contact tracing form
- All PLAYERS must complete DS Covid Check list EACH & EVERY time they attend a session (see below to print)
- All players/spectators who enter gym must have their temperature taken by a Drive Sports staff member
- Players must wear a mask during training unless player cannot tolerate such a covering during certain physical activities
- Players CANNOT participate if they have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days; are exhibiting symptoms consistent with Covid; are undergoing a quarantine; have a temperature above 99*F; OR have been in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid
WHAT TO EXPECT:
On the court, we will provide a range of training techniques & strategies that reinforce our THREE keys to development:
Work Hard • Work Smart • Work Often
These workouts allow players to focus on drills that are specific to their position and the various game situation-scenarios they will find themselves in.
Many drills are “self-sufficient” and easily replicated, allowing players to hone their position-specific skillset in a purposeful and measurable way on their own! Most workouts will include controlled scrimmaging with an emphasis on the concepts being taught during that particular session.
While our workouts are intense, there are plenty of opportunities to stop and learn WHY certain techniques and drills are being employed so that athletes can transfer this knowledge into their gameplay with purpose!
